New to the forum, Intro Thread.

Hi All!
My name is Eric I'm from northern VA. I just recently bought a 2002 Classic Red P5 and I'm in love.
I found Mazdas247 just kind of researching around on the internet. I'm fairly new to modding and completely new to Mazdas.
What i'm really looking for is help with mods and a sense of car community. So i guess i'll post a little of Mods and some pictures of my currently "hellastock" p5.
I'm not going to do to much to it. I/H/E, Wheels and tires, coil overs, and sound work as well as some interior.

I should have some small mods done in a few weeks! Sickspeed antenna, sick speed gum ball shift knob and I'm thinking of painting those gross silver accents in my interior.
I really want to get HIDs for my fogs and headlights, Any suggestions?
Also thoughts on black back head lights with clear lenses?

black headlights look great on our cars and are easy to do. HIDS for the headlights go with a projector kit as for fogs easy to do but you have to modify the housing to fit the bulbs properly.

God, I feel like such a noob with asking all this stuff. I'm a recently converted VW driver so finding parts for my mazda boggles me. I'm trying to find the best intake and exhaust and headers and where to purchase. I want a good price. stiil feel like a noob. lol

Everybody was there once.
Try protege garage, corksport, or Ebay depending on your budget. For a header there aren't many options but the Ebay knock off header is not something I'd recommend

As for the headlights, if you want to go the projector retrofit route, just paint you p5 headlight housing black while you have it open otherwise get some depo headlights off Ebay or a set of msp headlights from one of the part outs on here

Yea, i know nothing about retro fitting lol. Here's some links to what im thinking of buying. Also thoughts on Fog light tints over yellow bulbs?

Been looking around. Idk what i want to do first small non nessecary mods like my interior accent paint and shift knobs and antenna or my exhaust. I love working on a college budget.
