Hey guys. Wanted to say hello.

My wife and I just got a dolphin gray 2010 Mazda CX-9 Touring over the weekend. We traded in her silver 2007 Mazda 6S Grand Touring w/ Navi and some mods. So far she really likes the CX-9. It has the black leather interior, Bose sound with 4.3" multi-info display, moon roof, power liftgate...

Only problem we have noted so far is the lack of heat coming from the seat heaters. Her 6S would really heat em up (with one setting) and the CX-9, even on high, I'm still not positive they work.

I have a few questions I will probably toss around on this part of the forum. I'm interested in getting a hitch for the CX-9, and finding out the difference for a towing prepped vehicle. I was considering an upper EG classics grille too.

I have a 1970 Mustang with a 347 Dart Block Engine with a Vortech T Trim supercharger. I also have a 2001 Truckin' Magazine S10... flamed, bagged, and blown.

Welcome to CX9.
I think 2010 has two settings of seat heating.
Older ones have only 1. The seat warmer heats up slowly with CX9 in my 2008.
So, try a higher setting or wait a bit longer (say, 5 minutes).
If neither works, bring it to the dealer at your convenience.

Thanks ceric.

Yes, the 2010 does have the two settings. But I tried both. It's my wifes ride, so I'll let her decide if it works or not and go from there.

My Mazda 6 had the one setting and you could feel it in about 20 seconds... which was nice because I got used to turning it on for the first couple minutes of the car running (up until the heater started pumping out hot air) then turning it off.

The seat heaters are a bit weak on my '09 but if there's only one setting I'd rather it be a bit low. My Subaru Legacy had 4 settings and I never wanted it above the lowest setting.
