hi all,

i thought i would introduce myself after having lurked on the board for a few weeks. from what i've been reading, i know i'm going to really like it here.

after having driven a Miata for the last 14 years, i needed a newer car, and had always planned on getting Mazda3. not really liking to colours being offered in the 2008 models, i found a used 2004 Mazda3 Sport GT in just the colour that grabbed me.

the official colour name that the local Mazda dealership gave me that was associated with my colour code is: Passion Orange Mica. i'm not too keen on the "passion" part, but i love the colour. so i'll survive.

anyways... here is a picture of my car, with snazzy winter tires on

hey there,

thanks for the welcome!

i've been thinking of mods and have a few in mind. once it gets warmer, i'll definitely be getting the windows tinted. i'll probably upgrade the suspension, but i want to wait till the snow melts, because i haven't been able to really drive it. it's still a touch slipperly out and i don't want to play tag with a light standard. this will include lowering it a bit.

i'll probably upgrade the exhaust as well, and most likely look into new wheels and tires, however i do like the stock wheels. i might also look at improving/upgrading the stereo, but i need to figure how to work it completely. that user's manual is pretty thick! i'm disappointed that CD player (6 disc changer i think) doesn't play MP3's.

but overall i plan on keeping the mods low-key, because car break-ins here are brutal. we're pretty well the highest in the country, and would give any of the US states a run for their money on a per capita basis.

anyways... if you have any suggestions for mods that i should look at, please pass them along!

after driving a car that can only be enjoyed properly with a manual, the requirements for the new car also had to be a manual. is there any reason to get this car in anything but?

I Ahve 1994 Mx3 And The Gear Vibrates ? Whats The Cause ?

never driven an MX-3, have only driven an MX-5 Miata, and the only time the gear vibrated or the shifter vibrated is when i lifted the clutch pedal a little too soon before hitting the gas pedal.

If it makes you feel any better, in the States that color is called Lava Orange Mica.
I'd give you the paint code to match to the door sticker, but the USA site doesn't list the touch up paint (and code) any longer?

i found the colour name using the colour code, which is 27Y, but regardless of whether it's Lava/Passion Orange Mica, i like the colour.

actually it is getting warmer... got up to -9C today, with a pretty warm windchill. was tempted to go barefoot in my butt-cuts... almost
