New Tiburon

Blue, 01, MP3. -> Yellow, 03.5, MSP
Hey Guys, I saw the new Tiburon on the road today. It looks so sweet in real, very good styling. I wonder if that a demo car, or it is in production already.

2.7L V6 engine with 170hp + 6spd. Sounds very good to me. Looking forward to test drive one. :D

That looks sweet. I don't think I could buy one just b/c it's a Huandai. Although they are coming along. Their first car they put out were shity. But their warranty is the best, 10yrs or 100,000 miles. You cant beat that.

That looks sleeeeeeek an' purdy.. but I like the older ones better, especially with the veilside body kit.. mmmmmmm..

10year 10,000miles, but I would rather be out driving/enjoying my Mazda than having a hyundi that has to be fixed every coulpe of months. :p
That is the way that I look at it anyway.

As far as I know, Hyundi isn't that bad on reliability, my friend's owns his Tiburon for almost 3 years now, not any major problem. My only concern about Korean car is safety, other than that, I just love it as much as Japanese product. ;)

I agree that it has very clean lines. But the engine performance is not acceptable if those numbers are right. 2.7L V6 with 170hp? That would be fine if it's 170hp at the wheels...but it's probably not. It should have over 200hp at the crank if it's 2.7 v6.

Just my opinion.

Sorry hate Tiburon's....You know everyone has that one car that they cant stand...Mine's the Tiburon...First its a Hyundai....Second they try to look good, but go up close to one and look at it, it looks like its made out of plastic...they really do look cheap up close...I also ate one for dinner one night, twice...guy revved at the light and didnt even come close...didnt realize the second time he wanted to go again so he got a car and a half head start and i still passed him into 4th gear....Sorry you will never see me drive a Hyundai and I will never be caught dead in a Tiburon!

A few facts for you guys just to consider.
---I remember hearing that this new tiburon's exterior was designed by ferrari or someone associated with ferrari. I am not sure about that though.

---Also the tiburons that are out now, I do not like the exterior but the interior is really nice. Great seats, shifter, good feeling clutch. I was impressed with the interior but it was a little weak and I hate the exterior of the present ones. The new ones don't look that bad but I still don't love them.

Does anyone else feel that the engine performance is weak for the displacement? I'd like to see the pounds per hp figure!

I think that looks sick, and yeah, that dose sounds like some weak performance, but think about how lots of cars don't live up to what they could, the toyota celica is only 1.8 I4 and it makes 180hp, and my P5 only makes 130hp on a 2.0. Companys just get lazy that's all. If they don't go ballz out, then it will only be ok performance. And besides I remember reading about the new tiberon in motor trend and they say the new engine will only be BASED on the santa fe's v6. It may be better....or worse. Who knows. :p

I don't think it's bad looking. THe back end and sides look good, but the face is a little non-fitting. I liked the headlights of the orginial tiburon. Yeah, 170 is a tad weak for a V6, but who knows? Maybe it has potential. It will likely beat our car in a straight line.
