So I am in the middle of a big decision. FI or NA. Obviously FI will make tons more power but it is more expensive and less reliable, whereas NA is less power but more reliable.....you guys know the drill. Anyway, I have been doing so much reading on what to do with FI cars since that is what I wanted for so long, so I dont really know the main mods to do for NA. I heard that a bigger throttle body was a good thing for NA? true? anybody know of anyone who makes one? or anyone who may have plans?

Nothing really good in there.

You wont crack the 220whp range without spending alot. You will need head work and cams....not to mention you will need some sort of standalone to tune it all with. Once you add that up you could have had a turbo kit and put down alot more power and be very streetable.

N/A is fine, but as stated nothing will beat the dollar to hp you get from a turbo.

As for the question of the topic.
A larger TB would be a great addition for n/a and FI. It is not much of a hp mod, but has shown gains on the 2.3L duratec. It is mostly throttle response that sells it.
There is not one made for the Mazda3 yet. We can't use the Focus one because of the Drive-B-Wire TB we have.
Hopefully the Fusion will have someone make one that will swap over to us.

a conventional cable throttle conversion is possible, but not without cost... the FAQ has details on it

Possible yes as is almost anything. Is it worth the cost and headaches NO.
There is way too much that is need to do to even get it to work properly.
