New System

How does all this sound to everyone else for a system? Take in mind I know little about car audio.

2 12"-*edit*Are Planet Audios, place having it installed guy there has them in his car and they were hitting VERY hard. I of course had to ask to hear um so I could make up my mind.
2 6.5 MB Quart Components
1 600watt 5 chan I think it was Planet Audio amp.

With custom box and installtion for roughly $1,000 although we're still discussing prices as there are a few thing I want done that they can also do. Actually basicaly same system the audio installer has in his system with better components, can't remeber what he said he has but said mine will be better, of course I take this info with a grain of salt b/c like I said I know very little.

Clarion makes good stuff, don't see a problem there. Nice choice on the MB's too they're good high end quailty. Overall I think you'll be please with the way that will sound. The imaging of the MB's over the stocks will blow you away. BTW what part of richmond are you in, I used to live just off 301 in Mechanicsville.

Around the lakeside area. Having everything done at Etreme Audio dowtown also. they do seem very straight up with me and don't try to fool me. I was looking at going a little cheaper with 10's and comp's the guy was like we can do that fine, but they running special on 12's and will be a lot better sound for an extra $15/per speaker.. how can you turn that down?

same people who also installed my alarm/starter system, so I do think I'm getting a good deal. Just wanted to see what others thought.

huh clarions? i have clarions all around + subs/amp... but i think he edited out for higher end subs.. anyways, your setup will sound very nice, MBquarts always kick ass, even their cheapo line, never heard PA so i can't comment..

Yea, I couldn't remeber if the subs where Clarion or PA. When I went in again to talk pricing/setup and stuff I got a slip with everything going in and they were PA's so edited out.

I think it'll be a very sweet setup, can't wait till Monday now.

Will also post pics once it's done, hopefuly they do a good shop on my custom installed mp3 deck I have. You'll see what I mean by custom when it's done.
