Thanks. I'm really happy. I've already cleaned it up a bunch since those pics were taken. I've taken off that American flag sticker on the back and used goo-gone to get rid of the adhesive as well as the adhesive where the bumper sticker was. I masked off the trim around the windshield and windows (flaking chrome) sanded them and sprayed them semi-gloss black, I sprayed the interior pannels that are supposed to be black (but were gray) flat black, and I bought new brake pads that I'm installing when they arrive. I am working on it a bit.

Next is brake pads, idler arm bushings, and epoxy on the trim.

Hey Chris!! Congrats on the new ride!!
So, goin' back a generation huh? I always did like the 1st gen. they remind me of the Cosmo.

How'd you find me? I was going to post on Mazdaforum but Firefox 3 messed up the encoding. Could you post a link to this thread in that forum for me? But yeah, I love the car to death man.

good to see you back in the saddle. i am on mazdaforum too under wsoape281. i have a set of t II rims coming up for sale if you want to go that route with this one.

sexy car.....way to keep it alive. Man, look at the size of the stick/wheel in that thing, haha. I've never seen a stock stick/wheel in a first gen and I guess I know why now, those things are HUGE.

It's not that hard to find you. I just checked who was online last night and there you were. So I checked out where you were posting, and lo and behold, it was here.

And it probably wasn't FireFox, mazdaforums has been down since Friday night or Saturday morning. No notification that they are doing upgrades? Another member e-mailed me and suggested they were virused. That certainly sounds like a possibility to me.

^^ unless your ported, you just need to tune better.

i was consistently getting 23+ with my first gen. my SA is on a dellorto 48 and needs tuning bad. im sure its getting close to 20 +

Yeah mines on a dellorto 48 as well, the first post says Webber because th ePO told me it was, closer inspection and research had me find out its a Dellorto... which is apparently better actually.

congrats on the new/older car. take care of her try not to intrduce her to randum bolders on the side of the road.

By the way, if you do decide to go EFI, I've got a GSL-SE ECU, EFI Harness, AFM, TB, etc. I had a goofy-ass problem with my SE and bought a full set of spares. Now that it's running, they could use a new home. You can run the harness down the passenger's side of the engine bay, and be running EFI in a day. I've also got a line on a cheap upper manifold, if you need it.

Wow thanks. Only question isn't my aftermarket carb giving me HP numbers I'll lose with EFI? Also how much do ou want for the EFI setup, and lastly I wouldn't know how to install it.
