Well, I finally have it. After a year and a half of posting on these forums I finally got my 3. I bought it as an early fathers day present to myself because I am a damn good dad.(bowdown) Anyway, I got a whitewater pearl 06 touring 5 speed with moonroof/6 disc, leather, rear spoiler and homelink. (Can anyone tell me how to program my homelink with a gate opener? I couldn't find anything that told me how to do it.) I would post pictures, but I think everyone knows what they look like by now.

My first driving impressions was that it is hardly any smoother than my Protege was but the suspension and body are much tighter. The gearing is also strange. First is much shorter for better off the line acceleration but 2nd is a dog. Otherwise everything is cool...now its time to mod.

NICE!!! Congrats on the New purchase... So how long are we gunna wait before the high boost turbo kit goes on (hint hint hint) lol haha just messing with ya man. Car sounds great though hope u enjoy it

Unfortunately no boost. I am not even sure how much I am going to mod it. I will have to wait and see, right now its a hell of a lot better than my protege.

I have pretty much the same exact car (- the leather). Glad you are enjoying it, I know I love mine. Only bad thing with the White Water Pearl, if you ever have to have anything repainted .. it will be expensive. Just found that out myself. Other than that it is an amazing color and looks good on the 3.

I actually went to buy a 6s and ended up with the 3. It was the white that did it for me. The 6 had a little more power but all in all, they drove like similar cars. It was not worth the extra $4k for the 6. Not to mention the gas mileage differed by about 5-6 mpg.
