New radio = No hazard light??

I just had a new radio installed by a place in my area that installs just car audio. I am familiar with how to do it myself but they gave me a good deal on the radio and the install was cheap. This was three months ago. Now I just realized that my hazard lights don't work. And I don't want to take my car back because I don't know if I trust them 100%. (another story) the fuse is good, so I removed the radio and noticed there was no wire running to the button. I can't even find it! Anyone else seen this problem or know what to do??

Thanks

Sounds like when they installed it they pulled the dash up and disconnected it, but then didn't bother testing everything. That's sloppy...You can probably fix it yourself, but it'll be a pain to find that one loose connector that's likely floating around somewhere back there.

Thanks for your reply. I never took the dash apart, but seems like I might soon. Do you know of any instructions on the dash removal? A post in some catagory? But wait...doesn't the radio just pull out... So why did they remove the dashboard? Man this sounds shady.

THe front panel surronding the stereo is removeable, Problem is you've got to disconnect your controls for vents and heater, etc from the back.

Look in the how-to section for zapwizard's article on disabling Automatic AC. He wrote it up as clearly as I've seen.

That's nice!! That should help. Is it possible they removed the dash directly behind the steering wheel? It seemed a little out of place after the radio was installed but the car was new so I thought I might have imagined it.

its really easy, its just a plug ihavent had hazards in forever. pull your cd player an dash kit reach you hand in there. its a gray plug that goes between the vents.

I found it. It was jammed up top in the A/C vent. I had to remove the bezel around the radio to pull the wire out. It was sloppy work, but at least now I can go on with my life. Anyway, thanks to all those who helped. I probably could have found it myself but not not without a hammer.
