man, now i'm just plain pissed off!,i mean s***, the mp3 is a "limited" car. mazda smacks a turbo on, sells 2000 more as mazdaspeeds, then they wanna put my color on the p5's too( no offense to the yellow mp3's!) ...but its just fouled up!

i dunno, its just that it used to be "only 1500", now its like,"hey there goes another mp3"( you know what i mean...)so itll be, 3500 that look like my car, then another god knows how many laser blue p5's runnin around...sorry if i sound ignorant or anything, but its the principle of it...kinda...i think?!

I see a pattern here.......First comes the white....than now the MP3 blue......seems all the J-Spec has flown over here to North America.........

i don't see why you are getting mad. there were only 1500 mp3 for 2001, right? so they ARE limited edition. there is only 1500 not 50000 of them. and the mp3 blue is nicer i think than mp5 blue so that should just make you feel better. mazdaspeed is a mazdaspeed not mp3. different wheels, egine mods possibly different seats or fabric. enjoy the mp3 IT IS a limited edition car.
No biggie guys, at least us MP3 owners still have shaved side moldings. Not a huge difference, but I think it's cooler. Just like all the Integra owners who shave their side molding to look like an Integra Type R. For those of you who may not know what I'm speaking of, the side moldings are the pieces that are on the doors.

i like the mp3 laser blue more than the p5 mystic blue, btw, doesn't japanese p5 has that laser blue colour as well?
also, i have complaints on the colour as well, i thought yellow p5 are supposed to be limited, now i see at least 4 a day. i don't feel that special now.

Yeah, the dealership told me that it was a 1500 count run on the Yellow MP5 initially. Then when they sold real well, they made 1700 more. That was in January. No telling how many there are now.LambOfSilence said:
It still doesn't bother me though. I don't see them every day. Arizona isn't a Mazda-laden state. I think it might be visibility: How can you miss a yellow P5?

yea, i like the blue ones but i love the titanium grey metallic color (gunmetal) more.
they have this color both for the familia sport 20 wagon and sedans.

yes....mica blue, gunmetal grey, competition mica yellow, snow white pearl mica...mazda seems to have the coolest colors around...actually...considering that the P5 paint is so cheap...if i ever need to get my car painted...i'm going with that lighter blue or something close to WR blue or skyline blue....
