So, it's been a while since I posted. Always a car enthusiast, I continue to enjoy my EV6 GT, 2023, and now have 39K trouble-free miles.
I decided to add a second car. A 2011 P7B Interceptor. Known for insane reliability and durability, I found one with 125K miles and only 530 idle hours on it for $5K. Then the "restoration" began.
When I got it:
After some TLC:
-Oil/filter (OEM police filter and Mobil 1 Extended Performance High mileage 5-20)
-Spark plugs and coils (NGK 4177 and OEM Coils, actually found different plugs and coils in the car, lol!)
-Shocks/Struts all around (NOS OEM Police rated)
-Tires (Bought some studded Nokians)
-Replaced the OEM radio with a bluetooth model
-Upgrade headlights to best drop-in LED with proper beam pattern, as pictured, they are INSANE!
-Air filter (OEM Mercury Marauder filter)
-Power Steering fluid
-Brake fluid (was over 4% water)
-Diff fluid w/ Posi-Trak additive
-Verify coolant condition (it was fine)
-Ceramic tint (remove old)
-Protect windshield
-New PCV valve
-New thermostat
-Repainted a bit of it.
-LED spotlight conversion
-Installed correct linkages in rear door to manually open doors/operate locks inside.
-Marty tune on e85
Tires waiting to go on:
Upgraded headlights:
Here is what she ran stock:
After e85 tune:
Overall, it's been a fun project to serve as a bad/hail weather car and keep miles off my GT (No plans to sell or trade it for a couple more years, but 2027/2028 I will trade it for an M2 xDrive is the plan). It's as close as one can get to a Glock in car form, especially being as they didn't even offer them for civilian sale in 2011.
I hope everyone has been well. Still indulging in my class III and night vision and weightlifting hobbies. Hit a new PR of 320 on the flat bench and back squat of 450 a month or two back. Now just cutting down from 230.
