New Pics of the DG Motorsport P5

Only problem is the P5 is dying :( . I doubt our aftermarket will continue to grow.................all the attention will go to the Mazda 3:( . I still feel we have a unique car that other people will want in the future.

Honestly I thought the midnight blue P5 with the FM turbo kit and 4 sport seat mods made by DG looked much better...Better wheels, and better looking overall...

DG or B&G? DG's only made the one Protege as far as I know. B&G is building something with our turbo kit but it wasn't ready in time for SEMA 2002. Since I didn't go this year, I don't know if they got it done this year. I've got concept drawings but no pictures. Anyone?

I will have to find the pics I had of it...I don't know if it was actually built by DG, but it definately had their body pieces, and your turbo...It used pretty much everything they made except for the widebody kit...The CF side skirts, hood, front lip, and interior kit where all used...and it had 4 Sparco Torino reclinable seats...2 replacing the front obviously, and 2 somehow mounted in the back...with a completely custom center console that went from the shifter all the way to between the rear seats...It also had some silver O.Z. 5 spoke wheels...

I will post the pics as soon as I find them...

yeah he was just used to help design the pieces for the p5, they used the parts off his car, they didn't build it tho.

I'm sorry, but I'd laugh at it if I saw it going ddown the street, and that's just how I rate cars. Nice show car I guess. Lots of work in it. I just don't like it.

That is indeed the intercooler. The intercooler in the FP kit was designed with function, instead of looks in mind, if i remember correctly. They now have a two options, the one you see, and the traditional horizontal one that takes up the bottom grille.

Those are the pics...yeah it doesn't look like a DG show car, and it doesn't have a DG hood, but I think it looks like a much cleaner press car for DG...

he does have the DG ram air hood on the blue one. And it belongs to someone from Mazda NA i think.

In 2002, every Protege at SEMA had DG body parts on it with the exception of the one in the Wings West booth :) Just because it's got some DG parts doesn't make it a DG showcar.

The blue car belongs to Dean Parson at Mazda NA, yes. He calls it "The Pro". Here's the writeup on our website:The Pro
