New pics as promised...

i think these eyelids would really set your car off, especially with the hood painted like that, but the eyelids would have to be yellow of course

The eyelids on there now are erebuni. I thought about getting the DG carbon fiber ones. But where the paint ends and the CF begins, it would have to have been painted. And I dont see a reason for painting CF all over. The paint job enough between the hood and fiberglass pieces were a few hundred dollars. They're painted the same exact color as the blazing yellow complete with metal flake. DG also sent the wrong cup holder pieces. They sent the P5 ones. Now I'll have to switch them out with someone who wants my MSP one since it's already painted.

Looked good babe. Im proud of you. 10hrs of work, and about 3 hrs of cleaning. I know a handfull of girls that would put that much effort in their car. In my opinion you were the best all around Mazda in the show.

As for the graffics, well Ill tell everyone, I went through denyal when I saw those graffics going on. I also like the clean look. But, they are on there for a reason, and that reason is temporary. She has a look that she accomplished for the show, and now the show is over.

Remember how many looks my P5 had over the 3 years I had it??? Same thing here.

Good JOB!!!

saw the car yesterday at HIN. interior and especially the engine bay is super clean.
not a huge fan of decals but still looking good (thumb)

i think you need to tighten up one of the rubber stoppers.. the driver's side of your hood sits up a bit high?

Yeah, the VIS hood didnt fit the best. Plus the 10 hour FMIC install with the hood propped didnt help a whole lot. NEVER leave the hood propped up to one side for very long. Thats what happens.

Looks great! The only thing I would have left out is removing the blcak door frame tape. The yellow looks outta place on your car, but hey, **** what I say, it's your ride. As I always say, "mighty choice ride!"

looks nice, but I dont know about the decals. too busy for me. why did you put them on. you should take them off. not my style. :p j/k dont hurt me.

looks good, someone by me bought all the gt-spec braces and put them on. was something like $1000. In my opinion, it's a little overkill but a few of them would be nice. Plus ask joka for the bar he made for behind the front seats. it looks good. looking good, I wanna see a nicely built engine and standalone with a rebuilt turbo. hop hop, get to it :D

hurry up and get those stickers off, i don't like all that yellowness inside the car either other than that your car is super neato

I'm not 100% sure, but I THINK it's a Mazda. Can someone clear this up for me, cause htis picture is really just inconclusive.

Looks great lara. As always stickers are fine if you're actually sponsored, but I have a problem with stickers that you aren't rewarded for having on. I know, I know, they're not staying. Just sayin my piece.

Car's looking good overall. Needs a little more vtec to really be competitive though.

I plan on replacing a bunch of engine parts in the future. Obviously with a $1k house payment, 2 car payments, credit cards and other things... it's not possible to do it all right now. For the here and now, I got the car where I wanted to get it for the show. Alot of people may not understand or have ever competed in a show with nothing more than a pure stock car and a bottle of Meguire's Quik Detailer, but me, its won me a trophy so far, so obviously I'm doing something right. I'm not a ricer, you wont find any bling on the car or chrome. I'm not into that. But I do like the Rally and SCCA cars. My brother races, my father raced and I will eventually too. The money seems to be the only thing that of course would hold ANYONE back. Anyone with an MSP will tell ya, our parts dont come cheap. If I had a P5, Miata or MP3m this would be hella easier. Hell, between the install times and paying between a few hundred for my exaust and over a thousand for the FMIC alone... who else has money after spending $2000 in bills monthly, not to mention another car in the house to mod? So, like any expensive hobby... little by little is the key.

And of course, as anything anyone does on here, some people will like it. Some people wont. Some poor guy can put a decal on his windshield.... post a pic.... and someone will say HA! THAT GUYS A RICER! But you know, he likes that decal and it doesnt obviously make him a ricer. But if it's not someone else's taste, someone is bound to jump on him. I dont really care what someone says about the way my car looks temporarily or permanently. But its funny how when I put something.... ANYTHING.... on my car, someone will make a comment about it (and that goes for everyone else that ever posts pics on this forum). It's too big, too small, too yellow, too bright, too wide, too narrow, fitment sucks, the couplings are wrong, is that OEM?... etc. But you know, if I put that same pic with myself with my tits hanging out and my hair looking funky.... no one would even say "hey, your hair isnt really my taste. You ruined yourself. I liked you before the wind messed up your hair."

But thanks to those that got the general idea and gave me good feedback on here and pm'd me. I appreciate it. It took me days to get it ready for HIN. Not so much concerned about what people have to say, but I appreciate those that know how long it took me to get all this done. It was put together in a matter of about 2 days. None of the interior was done, the pillar pod had to be heavily primed, coated, it cracked, had to be thickly primed again, then painted just to get that fiberglass look. Parts and labor just for the painting was $200. It's colored match with the outside. The front mount just got in Weds and Thurs. The parts were not all complete or wrong and I had to stop by a few places to get bolts and hoses. Tri-point Engineering sent the decals that were EXTREMELY difficult to get 100% straight and without bubbles. Then there were a bunch of other problems. I had to take a day off of work for the show, pay for a hotel for two nights. One of the pipes blew off at 10 psi after I got off the highway (luckily Ghost came back for me, we got it back to the house to make adjustments, but it gave me a right good scare)...... It has just been crazy. So for me, it's not just about the pics, but about what I did to get it to where it needed to be. The car got the exposure that it needed, a bunch of girls were yelling "omg, thats a GIRL'S car!" ( which in itself, is great ), some guys still think that I modeled for the car and not that it was actually mine ( which men need to think outside the box or stop thinking with their whoo whoo's) and the car will be a bit back to norm later this week. So all in all, a pretty good week. And I walk away happy and th3 fast3r with the new front mount at 10 psi with a good engine management and dual set-up. lol
:D

I really like what you have done with the car. the only thing is the big mazda sign in the sides, other than that the car looks great. props for all the work you put into it, keep it up.

Cool congratz on the trophy.

Rice in general is extremely over used word these days in just about any atmosphere whether it is a import crowd or domestic. You would think it would be used more in the domestic crowd, though looking around here at some posts I beg to differ. Rice use to mean people who put wings or decals on and thought it made their car fast. Now people use it for anything that doesn't agree with their taste.

Are there portions of your MSP that I don't find completely to my liking; yes. Mainly some of the interior portions. But do you like it; apparently and it is working towards the final projection of what you want your car to look like.
It is your car do what you few meets your desires towards the final outcome. People will post opinions, opinions will be swapped. Hopefully both sides gain some insight into perhaps redoing or adjusting their own personal objectives towards modifying a car.

And youre right about the posting of your pics, no one would really question that but will in a instance about the car. Heck if you had posted such pictures of yourself on the car I doubt few would have mentioned anything on the car.

btw any chance of such said pics being posted? Or does Mike keep those to himself :(<o =""></o>

me likey the hood! Without stickers, it would be sexy. But i think it looks really nice. interior is very nice.

You hush man. I had the damnest time going from auto parts store to auto parts store getting the right hose that would fit the BOV to the Bypass, then the other hoses that he sent that were too big had to be smaller. Then the bolts that WENT with the Greddy were somehow lost at the shop and I had to find a greddy dealer at a performance shop and get some new ones. I think the guys over at Advance Auto was so tired of seeing me that he started giving me s*** for free. Just out of pure pity on all the back and forth's that I had to do. lol Not to mention cutting around the fog light grills inside, dont even get me started on the so-called "2 hour install with no cutting required".

And no, no pics of me this time modeling. I kinda got pissed and tired whenever someone wanted my picture thinking I was modeling for the cars. I had Mike stay with me most of the time. Everytime he'd leave me alone, a crowd would come around and want pictures with them and all their buddies. I am not a hood ornament and I didnt get paid to stand there and watch over my car and stuff on the floor while posing and hugging on the guys I dont know. Standing there next to me is one thing, but to have them putting their arm around me and almost hugging me around my waist like I was their love toy, thats another.

Did you break any other their arms? Come on let the Marine in you out, snap a couple arms :) You could use them as hood props...
