very cool man, you are going to love the swaybar, I got the same one and the difference was huge.

good luck on the install.

Had to install the UDP twice, the timing gear on the back was not in the right place out of the box:( I did the whole second tear down and install in about 10 mins, always easier the second time around lol. Not to mention I broke the ajustment bolt on the altinator as well today. The Progress rear bar went in nice and easy in about 15 mins, including getting the end link nuts off:) Thanks to PB blaster! I do have pics and they will be posed up tonight when I get back home. Definatly worth the money spent, A/C still cold, power steering still good, water pump working, and the alt still pushing 13.7v @ 60mph. I must be off to take a long shower to get cleaned up, pics up tonight!:)

Ass Dyno? Better or just a bit more bling?

Handling wise with the rear bar I love it, I tried my best to break the rear loose in turns and it just stayed put, even on the wet road. As for the UDP, I have noticed a but more, but im gonna wait for the computer to fully adjust. I would probably agree with the 5-7whp gain, but im sure its closer to those numbers on an MT car. I will see the real results when I hit the track next chance I get.

Cool, I was always under the impression that rather than a UDP, changing the flywheel (lighter) would net a much more noticable increase in "Snap"

and at the time they were mostly the same cost.

Well I haven't been on any dry roads yet but so far its not "s***, I wasn't expecting that" kinda gains. I think I noticed more with the header than this, so far anyways, but I love how I was running the A/C and it didn't hurt the performance at all.

its similar to the fly wheel, but the install on this takes maybe an hour. installing the flywheel you have to remove the tranny

Second time I did the whole removal and install in less than 15 mins lol.

I understand that. It's not that hard to swap out. Just time..

and its not even that much time. but jeg has an auto, and if y ou've never done a tranny, it can be daunting

i would keep an eye on those endlink tabs on the strut bodies. people with the racing beat sway bars have snapped them clean off. i can only imagine the 22mm progress bar would be more likely to cause that.

looks like a damn good bar. how much did you get it for and where? i might pick it up. my racing beat/clunk kit is working so so. but well see how i like it as the days go by.

Those tabs are known to break with the Progress bar. It's more than 3 times as stiff as the stock bar!

good job jeg. the rear sway is one of the best handling mods you can do.

as for the udp vs. flywheel. i did notice a difference with the udp but not nearly on the same level as the flywheel. my butt dyno says closer to 2-3whp.

Sounds about right, I just like the fact that I can run the A/C and not get bad vibrations at a red light and it isnt puting as much strain on the motor anymore. Im still using my stock endlinks, so are you guys talking about the endlinks breaking or the endlink tab on the strut? And I picked the stuff up from Ken and Rob @ ProtegeGarage.com:) Thanks guys!
