Just got a brand new P5, 5 speed and love it! (45 miles and counting.....).
Anyway the only thing I did was drive it straight to the tint place to get it nice and dark for the damn sun around here...

What Can I do to juice it up without breaking the bank?
New Air intake, filter, wires.... I am not really sure since I am pretty new to doing anything to a car other than adding a K&N air filter.

I really want to have a little fun but can't afford too much right now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The Injen CAI and/or AEM SRI are two very popular intakes. Another popular modification is the axle-back exhaust, which opens the door to several companies like HKS, Mazda, etc. Then there is always the full cat-back setup but look to pay double (and then some) for those.

You can always go with a custom exhaust at any decent exhaust shop. If the exhaust shop doesn't have a mandrel bender or isn't willing to weld up various mandrel bent pipes, go with 2.5" press-bent and a resonator and a muffler of your choice. This shouldn't cost more than $250. A mandrel bent system will probably be $350-400 muffler included.

I'd probably start with exhaust.. then do intake. After that, you can do some cosmetics if you're into that.

Thanks for the info...
Will these exhaust suggestions change the sound of the car? I don't mind a little throatyness but I don't want it to sound like a 87 camaro with a glass pack on it screaming down the road...

Don't worry, our cars will NEVER sound like that.

Cool! I am having trouble finding the AEM or Injen Intake.
I managed to find a short Ram AEM but I know I will want to do the CAI for maximum performance. AEM shows on their site their new V2 technology which is supposed to increase performance even more but of course I am a novice to this stuff so am not really sure.... Any ideas?
Thanks for all your help.

(hi) there is always the ECU swap!
if you do a search, you can find out more info

Can you tell me what exactly is an axle-back exhaust? Sorry for my ingorance....

So far I am tinted 5% in the back and 20% on the doors..... what next???...

Axle-Back is defined as the last 10-15" of piping and the muffler. Versus the full cat-back which extends underneath the car. Some say that you'll notice more power gain with the cat-back vs. the axle-back system.

However, overall the gain in either configuration is minimal.

Low buck mods.

I went to my local auto parts store and spent verry little to change the appearance from stock
