New owner in SoCal

We bought our 2007 Mazda 5 Touring, w/auto and Nav, at the beginning of November. It's a great little car!

We wanted leather but couldn't stomach the leather color of the Grand Touring. We bought the Touring instead and had aftermarket leather put in, along with aftermarket heated seats. We also put in Bluetooth, the Homelink mirror, and the cargo cover!

I moved the Bluetooth control to the slot where the optional cassette would go, I can provide info on how to get out the head unit and get to that space if anybody is interested.

Engine runs amazingly quiet at even freeways speeds. Only complaints are that the seats seem a bit too narrow for the front driver and passenger, and of course the typical armrest complaints.

Welcome aboard!!! I'll be joining you down there in SoCal in March when the wife and I move back down there :D

Oh and if you don't mind my asking, what did you pay to get the leather installed??? I'm with you on the factory color not being very flattering (to put it nicely), and I'd love to get black leather done...

HAPPY DRIVING!!!

We got top of the line Katzkin covers (they're the best in the business, they have special stitching to work with side airbags). Two tone black with grey inserts, sort of like the factory cloth colors. Installed it was $1400 for all 3 rows, plus inserts in the door panels. We also added heated seats for $400. Although we're in SoCal my wife gets cold very easily and really wanted that feature. We figured with how much we saved on the car we could afford some options. We had also looked at the new CRV, which would have been about $5K more, comparably equipped.
