I recently became the owner of an 03 Pro5 and I could not be happier. I have the same complaints as everyone has (lack of power) but I love the way it handles and the mpg it gets. Hey! Welcome to the forum! I'm your local Athens GACC representative. There's about 3 of us around here: me, Jackalope, and Strctrfsmplcty (or something like that). Most of the GA Mazda geeks are in/around Atlanta, and get together pretty often, including bowling most every Thursday night. Most of us autocross, and several of us have multiple Mazdas.
I've got a P5 and an MPV, formerly had an '01 Protege LX, a '97 Miata and an '87 RX-7. I've got a big garage, a bit of mechanical knowledge and a heap of tools, so if you ever need to do anything to your P5, or just want to put it up on ramps/jackstands, let me know. I'd be glad to meet you and give you a hand.
We've had a few meets out here at my place. About twice a year I've managed to con the Atlanta crowd into hauling all the way out here to BS around, work on cars, grill out or drop in on the Varsity car show.
You should also check out the GACC section, that's our unofficial "club," don't take anything said over there very seriously, we're a very goofy group!

We can do springs. You'll want to swing by Autozone and pick up some spring compressors, they lend them out for free. Otherwise, I should have all we need as far as tools. Let me know when you want to do it. Sooner is better, as the semester will only get busier as it progresses. Fall break is also good for me.
