New MSP Part Hit the Market!!!

"who said anything about spooling'?? re-read page 1 of this thread. About 3 or 4 posts into it. The guy who started the thread weaved the tale of how this really helped the turbo come alive!! Also, more boost is a good thing, but the factory muffler section is just fine for ANYTHING you can throw at it.

Bad day, huh, Turbo? I have it, because I like the sound. I know the stock system is fine. I like this better. For $100; I think it's a great upgrade. And; as I have said before, you can switch out to the original in less than 15 minutes. Maybe Corey believes it spools faster; I'm not sure.

I'm not promising any gains in horsepower, but I am promising that your car will sound like one mean cruiser for a fraction of the price of most any other axle-back!! For the quality and value, you couldn't find another axle-back system that will make your car sound this good. (hear ya) (thumb)

Yeah, I did have a bad day. I wasn't trying to take it out on anyone here. I was just laughing at what someone said about it allowing the turbo to spool faster by reducing backpressure! That is total horsecrap, just wanted to point it out. I'm sure it weighs less and sounds great, just wanted all the NOOB's who read this to know this is not a performance piece....unless of course you think the neon washer nozzles allow higher turbo boost levels!!.

dude, that smilie with the spoiler and red R is so cool!! I've got to get that! I know if we could see the front of it, there would be an "H" somewhere on it!

(rofl)(lol)(rofl)(lol)

edit: I just shat myself

try not to "shat" yourself! Then you'd look like the honda guys that try to race me down here! I had a guy with a new civic Si staring under my hood for 20 mintues before he realized how I smoked him. "Hey, whats that noise your car makes when it shifts?? Is that backfire?" I swear I had to explain the details of a pressure bypass valve on a turbo car. he then realized it was turbo. Shortly after this....he s*** himself.

ok you gonna call removing the muffler section making a BOLT ON PIPE WITH A TIP an axle back exhaust? and charge $100 ? You can go to the local muffler shop and have em make you one for half the cost. better yet if you really want weight reduction just unbolt the muffler tie the mid section up with string and have the same thing! how ridiculous. all youre doing is extending the mid section to exit the rear bumper with a tip! i wouldnt even call that an exhaust cuz its just a pipe and tip! if u want sound unbolt ur muffler and see how different it sounds with that pipe on.

dude, c'mon
dont like it - dont buy it
i'd pay someone 100 bux for a perfect fit that has been tested.
Plus it's so simple.
your local mufler shop will charge you $100 just for parts.

100 for labor for a pipe? they charge 40 to install a universal muffler made into a custom bolted on with flange and gasket here. oh well thats my opinion. if you really like to waste a $100 go for it.

You are correct!!! Hell, you could even ductape the midsection and save on parts :p If you have an exhaust shop in your area that will work that cheap than by all means, do it!! I know that around here you'll pay more for the tip, hardware, and labor than the HSM Axle-back System costs including the shipping charges. I know that you'll be hard-pressed to find a better bang for your buck than our axle-back. It is so light, looks so good, and above all, is so EASY to install! I welcome your comments as well as anybody elses. I'll take it as "constructive" critisizm (thumb)

Stay Tuned!!!

Hopefully, our Sound Vids will represent the product well. Tomorrow is the day!

See my review elsewhere in this forum.

Don't know about "spooling" (sounds like a quilting term) but the car definitely did feel a little more "alive" with the HSM axle-back. Not earth-shattering, but noticable. MAY have been the additional sound (which sounds good, BTW), but I'd like to think my 41-year-old calibrated butt-ometer (over a million driven miles on the vertical smile) served me well once again.

Hey - for $100 it fit great, sounds racier (deeper, louder, not raspy, not too resonant except on decel) and was fun - well worth $100 even if just to not have to wait 1-2 hours for a decent appointment and put up with the local muffler shops around here.... It's not Supersprint, but it's not an Al's Muffler Shop Special either.

Any word on this thing fitting my ES?

(thumb) it will fit the ES!! Only thing about puting this on an ES is that we have not installed this exhaust on one yet and we don't yet know if it will sound good or not......

I wouldn't feel comfortable selling you one of our exhaust systems if theres a chance it would make your car sound like poop!! I am searching for one in the area to test the sound on. If I still have no luck, maybee since Greg's wife took him back(rofl) she'll let us bolt it up to her car for a testing(bowdown).......:D
