New MSP owner

The Mazda dealer should be able to handle that. They would have to be certified to work on the Mazdaspeed Protege tho. At least thats how it worked when they first came out.

Let them know that you want to check to see if they reflashed the ECU on your car because there was a TSB for it. It should be in their system...

since it was a TSB it is not warranty related. they should do it w/ out question.

wow great that some up a lot...
now i have a basic path of direction and will see where it leads me..
awesome thankxz for the help doods..

You won't be able to have the MSP flashed in Canada, well at least I can't find a dealer that can.

PS. I live in Mississauga, GO CANADA!

Have you joined ToProtege.com too?

I personally wouldn't worry about a turbo timer on our cars. They have water cooled turbos that continue to draw a little coolant through them after shutdown. Run a good synthetic oil and just don't shut it off immediately after dogging it.

BOV= blow off valve. id say some good ones are turbo XS, greddy, and HKS.
if you wanted a list of what to get...here it is...

1. fmic
2. turbo-back exhaust
3. boost controller
4. boost gauge (or get the AEM truboost controller does both 3+4)
5. do the relocation of the MAF (mass air flow sensor) setup.

and you should be set

will do... thanxz for the heads up...
i will research on the items that were suggested
there should be no problems...
any other ideas people have would be usefull as well.. so continue the inputs... much much appreciated

has anyone heard of "hiboost FMIC kit for the msp? pretty sure u guys know what im talking it about.. i just wanted to know if its better than the ion fmic.. please let me know

Hey all,

I just bought my MSP (blazing yellow), this Nov. But due to personal Reasons
I dont pick it up until Jan (what a teaser huh...). Im still proud to have it and be part of this forum. I was browsing through msprotege.com and i found a lot of helpful people. (you can say it was a reason to join).
On the car came with a Cold Air-intake and Cat-back exhaust system.
I dont want the car to be a "RACE CAR" but i want it fast prolly a little over 210HP+ u guys have good ideas on where to start? Sorry i cant post the product number must wait until Jan :(
You have a long way to go.

y do u say that? how much more do u have to do?
I'm doing an N/A build!! I don't think there is one reliably running N/A car on this forum or anywhere ells for that matter running 200 whp.

I've got some cams on the way. I've got to get the head done and the EMS, and then work on the low end, up it to 11.1 or so and then put it all together. But that will take a very LONGGGG time.
