03.5 MSP
hey im new here, owned a 99 protege before, now bought a 03.5 Titanium Gray Metallic msp, had a problem with the car since i bought it turbo felt like it was kicking out and than back in, not sure what it is, but, besides that, blew it up.. so if anyone knows why its kicking in and out help would be awesome, but msp is good other than motor now, real good shape, seats got a few small rips, any other questions just ask, has no production number i cant find one, must be a canadian one, but glad to become a part of the msp group, would love to mod and learn about these cars.

my name is Jordan.

search mazdaspeed protege production numbers on google. its a pdf and make sure you download the 03.5 numbers. go through the vin numbers till you find yours and thats your production number.

i've searched it up and down, even the 03 and i cant find it, would it be becasue its a canadian model? not the usa one? also it is a msp for sure becasue i have the paper from when it was first bought and it says mazdaspeed right on it.

Take your charge pipes off and push the impeller blade 360 with force if it touches any of the sides your s**** not legit, and your going to need a new turbo. Welcome to the club btw. You'll find that most of these cars are previously owned for a reason.

go to google, type "production numbers for mazdaspeed protege, theres gonna be 2 links that look veryyy similar, since yours is a 03.5, urs is gonna be the second link...type ur VIN in the search box and it should take you directly to it...

yes i still have the car, im rebuilding the motor shortly, just found a whole motor fs-de for 150 from a junkyard, putting forged pistions and rods into it, plus some extra goodies, i drove it for a week and loved it i well never sell it

Wow, I can't believe there are ANY still around! I bought a blazing yellow mica back in 8/03 off the showroom floor, and ran up 37,000 miles in three years The closest MSP dealer was 2 1/2 hours away. That thing made AT LEAST 7 trips for the HU, the "clunk", and rusted rotors.

I traded it in for a new 2006 Mustang GT. I've had it for almost five years, have 44,000 miles on it, and have never been to the dealer once since buying it. Plus, it blows the MSP away in every catagory. (except handling) Go figure.

Oh, and the kid who bought my MSP totaled it after a week. (Damnit, it had a month old set of.Goodyear Eagle F-1 GS-D3's on it!)
