hey new here and i just bought an 06 ms6 and i love the car and i wanted to make a few moods to the car like an CAI and a BOV which ones would be the best?? i would be great if sum one could help me lol
THANKS!!

thanks that helps alot! ill look into that stuff and is cp-e xcel a good air intake?? and a hks ssqv bov good??

cold air intakes on these cars, while very nice looking and decently performing, have proven a little dangerous as water goes, a short ram intake is the safe worry free alternative, and from what i hear from my own and others in comparo, its much louder :D

welcome.

personally, after having had both CAI and SRI, i couldn't tell the difference in power. the only difference between the two is the CAI is more audible. i would save the cash get a SRI and bpv and definitely take a look @ tunersteve's thread on suggestions like coyfish mentioned.

kendon you really think the cai was louder? i've been in my friend's fujita, and another with cpe, i thought they were quiet in comparison to my cobb short ram.

ok thanks that helps alot ill look into but if i got a cool air intake with the pre fillter would that be ok or will i have to still worry bout water??

Stef hydrlocking your car is VERY difficult. Really comes down to bad bad luck. Hitting a pothole with a lot of water spraying at the perfect angle to your filter. Driving in rain is no problem its hitting big puddles that cause worry. 99% chance you will be okay (with water filter). The risk is your choice. I would get an SRI but im too lazy to sell mine and reinstall another. SRI is cheaper, easier, and worry free so its got my vote. Not to mention the CAI hasn't proven more gains over the SRI.

yea super shredder, louder without question. i'm guessing it's becuase the filter is only seperated by a vented fender well, where as the sri is under the hood. although, with the turbo inlet pipe + short ram = loudness! i could also hear the cold air intake early in the rpm range and i'm assuming it's due to the location. i assume, guess and postulate alot of shiz though. i also get on the throttle a bit too much.

yea, stef what color?

i have the silver one i like it but i think i might get it painted. and i have a ? i bought sum gauges ( a boost/vacum, a volts, and a oil pressure gauge) and im getting the CP-E gauge pod that fits where the navigation goes and i was woundering wut kinda place puts gauges in cars?? or is it hard to do it myself??
