Guys,
I've had some interesting cars through my life
1987/1988 Tbird Turbo Coupe (FMIC, overboosted)
2001 Grand Prix GTP Special Edition (cammed, dropped, etc.)
2003 Nissan Maxima SE 6 speed (wifeys and is stock)
1993 Lexus GS300 (Aristo mods, Supra exhaust, HID retrofit)
but I am most excited about the new addition to the stable, this 2006 Silver MazdaSpeed 6 GT off lease. It's got 26k miles and is not certified, but will have the remainder of the 50k warranty offered in 06.
Purchase price was $17647. Although I feel it was a decent deal, I think I could have worked them a bit more. FWIW, Manheim sales are showing 15-17k for auction sales of these 1 or 2 years off lease. Dealer acquired this from a Mazda action, and was originally asking $18950. Anyhow, the dealership has to make some money, and I needed a car right away because my GS300 died. My situation made me tire of the haggling, so after three attempts, I finally caved at what I felt was a reasonable offer.
Joined this community a while back because of the great info and knowledgable members here, but now I am proud to be back as an owner.
Looking forward to a good time.
