New member here, planning on buying a silver Mazdaspeed Protege with 75k miles for $5900. I did some research and from what I found the MSP comes with 170HP, about 150wHP (correct me if I'm wrong), eventually I would like that to be around 200+wHP. So not to get the old "search button is your friend" comments, but what are some of the mods I should get to reach that goal; BOV, motor/tranny mounts, and clutch for reliability, i/e/h trio, upgraded turbo, tuner, boost control for performance? And what are some good brands/pricing?

welcome to the forums. it doesn't take much to reach that goal. just to start out, boost gauge and wideband air/fuel gauge, SSAFC, intake, exhaust, boost controller set to 9-10 psi, motor mounts, FMIC and maybe a VICS/VTCS deleted intake manifold. This may work, but just browse through the forums especially the MSP performance subforum. I guarantee you will find your answer plus more. There are sooooo many threads regarding what it takes to reach certain HP goals and "how much HP would I gain with these mods and psi" threads

as far as the ssafc goes ken is no longer stocking them as of 10-22-10 due to lack of demand. there is a thread stating this somewhere on here
