Lol, I'm going too, but nothing major. I want to check out your STS, I think mine is stock, but it is UBER short and feels like shiiiiiiiit.

It's shorter than my Mustangs Short Throw, and that was the shortest one available, with a shortened stick on top of that. But it's not "tight" it feels mushy and can be hard to get in gear.

working on it, have an appointment next week to have it completely detailed and have all the ricer crap removed. Going to get some pics then.

Exactly, we have the fun DD and the weekend car that reminds us what the f*ck Torque is.

I wonder who on this forum knows what your SN is for?

Should have got a LSx if you wanted real power...... hahaha i kid i kid

Shiiiiit son, I b**** slap LSx's. LOL.

No doubt, I drove my Mustang today for the first time in 2 months. Put a grin on my face that's still there. 434ft lbs on the small shot. The suspension also kicks the s*** out of the MSP's clunkity clunk clunk sqeeeeeeaaaaaak, lol.

I may have to change my SN this winter. Have a nice C-headed teksid with ARP studs, '03 Cobra Crank and '03 Manley Rods that is just begging for a big bore and a 76mm. My usual SN is "The Anti Rice"

^^ There is a way to fix that clunkity-squeak of the MSP's suspension. And make the suspension even better (believe it or not). :) Look up info on the AXR clunk fix bracket kit in the Suspension subforum. I had one on my MSP -- and still wish I'd had the time to rip it off when my MSP was totaled, so I could've sold it to someone else.

I went backwards from you -- owned my MSP for six years, then went to a G35 Coupe. But my DD is a Honda Del Sol (I call it the little blue lawnmower), so I do still have something to drive with that light, nimble feel. It's not the same as my MSP, but it's better than nothing!

How many cubes do you think it will have? That sounds wicked, I haven't done more than small bolt ons to my Bullitt, mainly because I went to hell and back and went broke modding my old 94 Cobra. But I would love to bolt a turbo or Whipple on it. One day a built termi will be in my garage, or maybe a Mach. Although i've always been a fan of the 01 Bullitt, and the new 2012 Boss looks promising.

It's nice to have someone on here that doesn't hate Mustangs like EVERYONE else.

I didn't buy the car for them, they can go eff themselves, lol.

As far as the engine itself, I'm not really sure. IIRC, should be a 5.1L, whatever CID that works out to be, I'm thinking it's a 309 or 310, it's going from a 3.54" piston to a 3.7" piston, so .16 bore, which is HUGE. I don't know if I'm going to go that far with the engine or not, the goal is 700+ RWHP, looking for ~750, but will be fine anywhere north of 700. It's EASILY achieved on the stock CID with the Terminator internals, especially easy with REAL pistons, and not the crap ones the termy's get stock (which still stand up to 1000+ hp), been talking with a friend about it (he's "in the biz", running an F1R on a 427 has a running series in 5.0), he says I should be looking at 20psi, ans supporting mods from the 76 to do it. So, 80LB Injectors and a Fore Triple Hat with GT Supercar Pumps. Has a rear end under it that would make John Force smile, lol.

There are some nice bolt on kits out there that make some nasty sleepers man, turbonetics has a hell of a kit for the S197 cars.

Rush, you had one of the best looking MSP's out there, and I value any advice you can give me about the suspension and the clunk. The clunk really does not bother me, but the girlfriend says it has to go, what causes it, anyway? Bushings?

Well thanks! I still miss my MSP to this day -- and I recently found out that after it was totaled, somebody in Philly bought it and rebuilt it. So it's floating around the city somewhere.

But anyhoo -- IMO, the whole rear suspension is retarded right from the factory. The struts are stupid because you can't even put on a set of lowering springs without taking the uneven perch heights into account. The rear sway bar doesn't sit quite right from the factory. And the bushings are crap.

Definitely check out this thread -- http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123766613-The-Infamous-MSP-Clunk-Info-amp-Solutions

All I can say is HOLY s***. Are you going to run NMRA? You certainly could with that setup. You could easily get that car featured in a magazine when you're done.
