New Mazdaspeed Protege Owner Checking In!

So, in my quest I finally found a MSP! #24, Titanium, 69,504 Miles. Lansing, MI. I rate the car a 90%. Has an Injen CAI, Autometer Ultra-Lite Boost Gauge, EBC Drilled and slotted rotors with EBC Red Stuff pads. Kenwood head unit has been changed for a newer Kenwood Unit, the rest of the stereo is stock, and functioning, including the sub and amp. Other than some Mazdaspeed and turbo stickers the rest of the car is stock as well.

I have already ordered CorkSport Mount Inserts, lol. The stock ones are terrible.

Not yet, but you did remind me of something. It has Cruise Control! Aftermarket, but better than nothing. Thanks for the comments guys. I love the car, but it's a different animal to me. I also have a 1999 Mustang GT that I have daily driven for the past 5 years, it's a huge change. I'm not used to a car that is so nimble. I miss the torque when I'm in the Speed, but the handling is amazing.

You guys are a bunch of 'giners, lol! I was so worried about the clunk, and when I heard it, I chuckled about it. I've been daily driving a Mustang with full spherical metal to metal joints in the back, let's talk about clunk for a minute. Now the motor mounts, I wish I had MORE warning about those. Feels like the engine is about to fall out of the car.

Not yet, I've got the Corksport Front and Rear inserts ordered though. Don't think I'll need something as extreme as full mounts. Trying to keep the car as civil as possible.

No, they aren't damaged, just crappy. No wheel hop whatsoever. Just have a lot of drive-train movement, more than I like anyway.

It will be parked at the Telford Commuter Lot tomorrow from 8:00AM until ~ 11:00AM, then again from 12:15 until ~ 2:00. Don't laugh at my "pimp ass Mazdaspeed and Turbo" emblems.

You know, for only 170 rated hp, these cars tear ass until 3rd gear. I demolished some poor guy with his girl in a Z24 today, lol....he started it.
