New Mazda Club

This is an email I just from Amber (she can't log on from work)..

Hey all, I appreciate your concerns with the name of the future club. When the club name becomes final, it will be final.

For the time being, I would like you all to vote between the 2 following
names:

Capital Mazda Club or Mazda Enthusiast Club

There will still be rules and regulations that will be discussed in the
very near future. In fact, I would like to suggest (and sorry for the
late notice), that anyone interested - come to my house on the install
day and we can lay a few things out.

As of now - the following information is accurate:

#878MSPChick - Founder
Lisakay - Founder
Titanium - Club President
MP5Smuggler - Director of Promotions

I would like to keep the leadership roles the same as before, because we
have proven that we can all work well together. There may be a need in
the future for a VP spot. Please pm myself or Lisakay if you would be
interested in such a role.

I will be looking into getting a business license for the club soon, so
we can start accepting donations as an entity. For now, I am thankful
that all of you have expressed interest in keeping what we have going.
This is going to be incredible. I am extremely proud of this group and
look forward to everything we will have together in the future. I am
going to try and get some type of free web space for us to chat
privately. Thanks, you all, for an overwhelming show of support. You
guys rock!!!

Alright guys and gals. Are we all set to meet on the 29th (obviously those that can make it)? My $.02 is I def like Mazda and I def like Enthusiast. If the word "club" is an issue for some people (Ray) we can possibly make other arrangements. I don't see any negative connotation with the word. And I certainly don't see how it can be made to appear with an "elite" connection, but I am a blonde after all. Lisa and I do like the name, and I would like to know if anyone can second it, so we can make it official and move on. We have decals to make people So, all those in favor of Mazda Enthusiast Club?

Its like asking what everyone thinks about getting $5. If I have an option to take $20 instead Id take it...If I can get $5 and thats the only option then I say yes and shut up.

heh...well being as there is a mid-A club or group with the same interests as ours near us who already has mid-A in their name, I think we may being swaying from being confused with them. Not to say that is a bad thing by any means. Of course, this is only my opinion and I don't know for sure. Anyways, we as a group will decide soon what's the right course of action.

oh, I never got confirmation on whether the MA in MTMA stood for Mid-Atlantic...since as we know, NJ is not a Mid-A state.

With that considered, maybe we should consider another regional term, UNLESS, as I asked before we plan on making this a nationwide club with different state and regional chapters.

Yes, it stands for Mid-Atlantic. And yes, NY/NJ/PA along with VA, WV, MD, and DE are the Mid-Atlantic states.

WE ALL wipin out the geography i like mid-atlantic because the old 240sx club i was with was called mid-atlantic 240sx we were all from md and va also....
