New INTAKE MANIFOLD protegegarage

If a shop fabricates an item, and claims that an item makes certain hp, wouldnt they already have dynos for such a claim? Why can't those be posted? It seems like very few of the claims belonging to items sold by vendors are backed up by dynos.

Those are 2002 (I think that is the latest model) model 626 intakes. They aren't fabricated. Good buy if you don't want to go to the wrecking yards to find one for yourself.

I wish someone would test one in an NA application.(thumb)

I didnt get my manifold from Protege Garage, but i did install my newly ported

626 manifold this past weekend. The install wasnt as hard as i thought it

would be, it only took 3 hours from start to finish. The powerband is a lot

smoother and pulls harder on top and not a big loss down low. (thumb)

What is it like off boost?

we will more than likely be including the EGR setup as well as instructions or components to re-route vacuum lines

That would be VERY helpful. Having everything ready when you start really ends a lot of headaches. I hate "suprises", though I deal with them all the time...

When the engine is cold it is very sluggish until it gets up to temp, after that

its almost like stock. Also i advanced the timing 5 degrees, thats helping part

throddle acceleration.

final product; beer not included :D

what about the sodas?

Do you have to modify the fuel rail to fit on MSPs? Someone was saying that a regular 626 manfiold will not directly swap onto the car without changing the fuel rail...

No modding of the fuel rail is necessary, fits with stock spacers and bolts.

I had no issues with the fuel rail either it fit perfectly

this seems to be the best shot I have

Is there anything else that is needed to install this? Im guessing this is a complete setup form Protege garage.

you should change the IM gasket and you will need to either get a different EGR pipe from the 626 or remove it

thats it

you still up for selling yours to me? (thumb)

sure, if you want it. Ill leave it as is, you will have to paint it as you like. Ill try to put a fuel rail in ship it with it if it fits.
