New Here Looking to Turbo 1.6 Protege does Juan at HighBoost still sell Turbo Kit

Hey I'm new to the forum sorry if I'm not posting in the rite section I'm interested in boosting my 1.6zm but can't find a Turbo Manifold to start, OBX sells this turbo Mani on ebay but I don't think it would fit http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Racing-...its=Model:Protege&hash=item2ee15831bf&vxp=mtr
If anyone has any info please let me know
The only full turbo kit I found to Turbo the 1.6 is from Vivid Racing it's there Turbo Specalties kit just wondering if this would work it's only $1500

That kit looks like it will work, seems kinda steep to be making only ~160whp

dont zms only make about 100hp though? not a bad upgrade for $1500 then.

buuut.. i had a poke around ebay and there are obx manifolds for the 1.6. if it was me id piece together a build yourself based on that and a decent t3 turbo. i guess the advantage of that kit is the boltonness, and i suppose you could upgrade the turbo to something a little beefier. id think the msp turbo would be perfect for a 1.6.

whatever you put together though, do a little investigation on fuel/timing managment. I wonder if the unichip q would work with the zm as easily as it does the fs..

good luck to you though. dont often hear about the 1.6 being modified. is yours the one with vvt or is that the zl?

T3 frame turbo is WAY too big for a 1.6

nm. im prob thinking of the 1.5 liter. I wonder if the fs header bolts to the 1.6. if that was the case id just buy a pope manifold and a msp t25. cheapest way to find out is to buy a exhaust manifold gasket for a 2.0 and a 1.6 and stick em on top of each other heh.
