2015 CX5
Hey all

Just picked it up, wife had to have it. Can someone please help me on these questions, thank you

My CX5 was made in May/2014, were do I find the Navi/Radio/ Software or Firmware version.

I know that you download the tomtom home and update the software, but is this the same as the unit firmware?

I already had the ipod hookup take forever to start and not starting where it ended off sucks.

and had to turn off contacts on my iphone, that took a while too. I sure hope they fix this.

thanks

Ed

ps, I tried to update the Gracenote from a usb thumb drive, but the update after all the yes screen stayed grayed out? weid. could not update it.

Use the TomTom Home to update firmware/maps, that's the only thing there is. Our units are called NB1
The Gracenote update on Mazda's website is wrong, it's too huge a file, it's for another car. The one that works for the CX-5 is only 18megs, the link is dead now, no one has a copy of it.

Rumors Mazda is fixing our InfoTainment unit, but it's all rumors that's gone on all year old. If it happens it happens, if not, oh well.

Most aggravating feature on my 5 week old CX-5 is the contact list for my Android phone being downloaded every time it connects. Granted it takes only a minute (99 contacts) but...

Wife's Camry Hybrid connects very quickly w/Bluetooth. I also think the premium JBL unit in the Camry puts the premium Bose unit in the Mazda to shame. The Toyota JBL is a 440 watt sound system w/pretty good speakers.

On my Nexus 5, the first time I pair to CX-5, it asks to download phone book. On the phone side there is a check box for "Do not ask again" then a Yes or No option.

Try unpairinf and delete your phone in the CX-5 settings. Re pair and see if you get that option.

I have an iphone, i have a large client list, is this an issue with the current release, download contacts with each new car start.

I just got a new bluetooth module for my 2015 thinking it would fix many issues but its all still the same. I have to wait while my Galaxy S4 downloads contacts each time before I can listen to bluetooth music or pandora and I checked the box to not download them but it still does and of course I still have the Ipod/USB issue.
