Hi, Fellow MSProtege owners.

Just wanted to join this Forum, as I check it daily to get updates on my MSP.

I have 500Kms. and still breaking in, however I must admit that I can't wait to crank up the boost and see what she will do!

I plan on turning it up manually to 9 - 10 Psi during my dyno runs to get a base line and see what, if and change turning up the boost will do, my only other mod. will be a CAI, I am thinking Injen. so far they are the only Maufacturer that has posted any Dyno'ed results.

MSProtege Rocks!! I traded in my MP5, and I have no regrets! Handling is solid!! revs between 3.5 and 4 needs some sorting out, and I have read several posts regarding this and hope my CAI will help to eliminate this problem, that I can live with.(Drive around)

If you don't mind me asking what did you get for your P5? Ws it paid off? i was thinking of doing that, but wanted to know where I would be in terms of taking a hit. Thanks

InitialDMP5,

My MP5 was a Lease I just worked with my sales rep to not pay a penalty.

The Buy out value was $17,500Cdn. from Mazda Canada leasing and I see asking price of $19,500Cdn. Sales rep. wanted me to pay a grand to get out of the lease but I didn't in the end. Nice guy, and real easy to work with..... when you know what you want and just don't take any deal other that the one you want.

thats cool. Thanks for the info. My parents always tell me never to lease, "it's a waste of money", But I see it as being able to drive a cool car for awhile, and then move on to another one without getting stuck with a car (unles you really like the car and plan on keeping it).

leasing only works if you are the type that will trade it every 2-3 years. Otherwise, it is a waste of money. Don't ever Keep a lease the full term and then buy the car afterwards....that's a big NO NO.

btw: I lease. Works fine for me so far
