new head unit now no heat?

after having the head unit installed today, i dont have any heat. fans work and changing vents work. no ordor in car from possible coolant leak. the car's a 01 MP3 with 120k on it. could the heat not work from something the installers did or just a fluke and sh!t happens?
if not from install what are my options? thanks.

ps. i would have done a search, but i only connect at 28.8 kbps and i dont have enough time in the month to search.

either they accidently pulled a connection from the back of the hvac controller unit, or dislodged something (a rod IIRC) that runs behind the headunit/glove box. both are easy to check first, and I would start there.

They did not correctly attach the heat and vent cables behind the center console...Check this how to for the cables I speak of...Check that the metal tabs are locked on the wires and you'll probably be set...Some adjustment of the control knobs to the right heat-on setting may be required.

Thanks for the link. A metal clip on the cable near the glove box wasn’t attached. attached it back and now I have heat again, but instead of 50% cold 50% heat, the dial is 75% cold and & 25% heat. But its heat and I’m happy with that. I worked on last night, tired, cold and irritable. Not a good combination. Suppose when I have decent lighting and time ill adjust the clip to get it back to 50/50 thanks again for the help
