Hi everybody, I just got my first MSP 2 days ago. Its a 03.5 Titanium with 27 thousand on the clock. Its stock except for a AEM cold air intake and some aftermarket front seats. I obviously still have factory warranty and I was wondering if anybody has a stock airbox they would be willing to part with? I need to take my car in for a leaking exhaust manifold gasket and I dont want any bitching from the stealership about aftermarket stuff. I'm sure you have discussed this on here before. -zach

welcome man! hey i really doubt theyre gonna give you a hardtime about your intake. For them to void/reject warranty work they have to show proof that the reason why your manifold leaking was because of the mod you did to the car....i doubt the cai caused the leak, so they will have to replace it under warranty....if they give u s***, call mazda north america and the next day they will cooperate...ive experienced this with my stealership and a ****** up kenwood radio...

Hey Serg, I realize that the cai couldn't be held responsible but this is my first car with a factory warranty and after reading some of the related threads on here it'd just seem easier to do this than have to fight. My kenwood is being dumb too, it flips over and then stops and then it wont work until you reset it.

How much are you willing to pay? I have a stock airbox with lessthan 100 miles on it. I'll even throw in the OEM air filter w/200 miles on it, and a K&N filter with less than 1k miles.

As far as the radio goes, it's about to die on you. It's the ribbon cable between the faceplate and the HU. After the faceplate flips a thousand times, it breaks. Get the dealer to order one now. It will be a long wait for the replacement.

Oh, PM me if you're intersted in the airbox.

Welcome to the forum, this place is a great resource. To bad Im selling my 2003.5 Lazer blue msp with 42k on the clock, or I would sell the stock air box to have money to buy a cai. Anyways have fun!!

wow! thats exactly what i was fighting them for!! they had to replace it twice for me...

Someone stole my factory Kenwood and it's the biggest favor anyone's done for me. Its replacement absolutely smokes it.

As for the CAI, it's your call. I'd play it safe. From what I hear, if it gets voided in the database, you're screwed at any dealer. They may not have a problem with a gasket, but what if your LSD goes? Or your engine? That's when the slightest mod will get the attention of the area warranty rep. Mazda would love to avoid paying for a big claim. Even I had to fight like hell with my previously cool dealer and the area rep to get my LSD replaced because I had a frigging BOV. I'm actually glad to be out of warranty now just to avoid dealing with them.
