New GT CX-9 owner in NY

Hi everyone,

Now that I officially own a CX-9, I felt ok registering for this site, instead of lurking around gathering info for the past 3 weeks.

Wife & I pulled the trigger on our GT this past weekend. I work for the advertising company that handles all Ford/Mazda work so I started with S-Plan pricing.

We are very happy with car so far. I have ALOT of reading to do as the owners manual is the size of a bible.

Again, thanks to the numerous members who unbeknownst to them helped me out greatly in deciding to go with the CX-9 over the MDX.

Spanky I am also in NewYork and still have not pulled the trigger but getting close, I have been offered CX9 GT AWD, with GTassist, moonroof/bose, Blind Spot MSRP 40,065. for 36,585 plus sales tax 3155.46 plus 241.00 title and registration How does that deal sound ?

I went to 3 Mazda dealerships:

Little Neck/Douglaston Mazda on Northern Blvd.
Koeppel Mazda in Woodside

And Manhattan Mazda - we went with them

Manhattan Mazda is actually the only Ford/Merc 'factory store' dealership.

Only issue with them was they totally tried to rip me on my trade in. So we went to a 2 yr lease, w/ option to buy. but with my S plan pricing the resid. value is only gonna be 22k. And I can now sell my trade in privately for what it's worth. and apply that in 2 yrs towards the 22k. in the end I'm looking at financing about 15k

I think you should be able to go a little lower than that offer. or at least get some all weather floormats : )

Also - ask about roof racks. I assumed that they came on the GT but they dont. I will be installing them myself after searching on this msg board for factory parts dealers and other members experiences adding them on themselves.
