new exhsust O2 sensor troubles

I recently installed a turboxs tubobck exhaust and decided it would be a great idea to break the first O2 sensor . basically after the install i popped a cel and figured it was the rear sensor so i did the anti-fouler trick and no luck. At this point I had to go pick up some things from the local autozone and while there i decided to get the code read. It came up as two codes, P0134 (Bank1 Sensor 1 no activity) and P0031 which means during the install i think i messed up my first O2 sensor the one that was before the cat. Any advice on how to fix it? I don't know enough about them to check the voltage and all that. I'm not really sure what is wrong with it the wiring looks fine and I disconnected the battery disconnected the sensor and then reconnected it while doing a reset. Also when i was pricing it at dealers just to see what it would cost if i didn't revert to stock and try and get it covered by warranty they said it is an Air/Fuel Ratio sensor and it runs 500 dollars and the back one was just and O2 sensor. I called three different dealers to confirm this. Could i just get a wide band O2 sensor and install it in place of my first sensor or would that drive my ECU nuts so I'm stuck shelling out 500 dollars for a new stock one. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

did you remove that cat? i'm not formiliar with that exhaust, but if your cats gone you will set 02 codes.

its true the pre cat sensonr is a wideband sensor. and no you can't just replace it, it will still trip the MIL.

moved to ms3 section, i would think you are stuck shelling out money for a new primary 02 sensor... check with the oem suppliers on the forum i am sure they can do better then 500$

yes i got the catless version. Couldn't seem to find any available from OEM dealers on forums will call them tomorrow. anyone happen to know the part number for it?
