Just recently replaced the stock oem exhaust hanger with some new polyurethane ones as recommended in another thread. The only problem I seem to be having is that thee haier tip no longer aligned with the number cut out and seems to rattle sometimes against the number. Any ideas on how to fix?

the muffler should shift along the rods the hanger goes on. Use zip ties or something to keep it shifted over. you can also bend the hanger bars to fit.

adjust your exhuast hangers tell it fits properly.. slide them from side to side. once you find the sweet spot, secure it down with little clamps to prevent the exhaust hangers from shifting side to side.

adjust the polys back and fourth or as mentioned you can bend the actual hanger rods to position it in the notch.

Thanks guys great info! I will do this ASAP and let you know how it goes! Glad to see this forum is still alive when I need it!

Last night I was able to get the chance and fix my exhaust tip alignment. Here is the result!

Now in the correct position, aligned with bumper cutout

Zip tied hanger mounts in place.

The rear lips also like to sag on these cars but given the mileage on yours I doubt that is the problem.

Completely remove the tape and replace it with new 3m adhesive strips is the best way. You have to use quality stuff because the heat of the exhaust will melt the cheaper stuff.
