New Exhaust for Mazdaspeed Proteges

I will eventually, but it doesn't make sense for me to get one yet because A.) I don't have any engine management, so a wideband o2 would be useless I can't change anything. B.) IMO I could spend the money better on something like an SMIC and save getting a wbo2 for when I get an emanage. I'll get one eventually though.

your right, I didnt even think about it like that, and i didnt know that about the stock exhaust tuning bung either, damn i just wrote John to ask him about it, oh yeah and to ask where my exhaust might be, hopefully it has been shiped, but i was nice in the email, hopefully i get a response.

If I'm not mistaken, the only plugged up O2 bung in the stock exhaust is on the 90 degree bend connecting the s-pipe to the stock exhaust (the part that the Corksport exhaust bolt to). It is located on the side underneath the piece's heat shield. I am thinking that we will have to use that plug, since that 90 degree piece will be replaced with our exhaust. Also, I am pretty sure you will have to plug up the first O2 bung (before the cat) on the new exhaust. Otherwise, what is the point of having the cat? You would still get a CEL!

If the bung is on the j-pipe, then that's cool. If it's on the s-pipe we obviously can't unplug it. And yeah, we wanna plug the first one hehe.

It's on the j-pipe. The stock one is two pieces.

I wanted to be the first to post pics so here they are.... I didn't even get the third piece out yet.I had to go and pick mine up b/c I missed the delivery. I had to sign for mine I don't know why they left it at your door brian. For anyone who wants to know....The answer is no the box won't fit in your car. I had to learn the hard way.

Talked to Purolator, cuz my tracking info looked different than everyone else's. First of all, those are some really nice people, you can tell you aren't talking to UPS. They told me everything was fine and that my package is expected to be delivered Monday, but may be delivered as early as tomorrow!
