New Enkei RSV's are ON!

looks sweet man, looks kinda like an import knight rider ;), in a good way =P. 40mm offset huh man? Didnt think we could get away with that. The stock offset is 55mm, what is the wheel width?

what is the bottom line of what offset will work with the speeds with the 215-45's anyway? I know rishie has a fitment recipe, but he doesnt list one for the speeds with 215-45's (sorry for the thread jack)

The full spec is 17x7 with 215/45/17 Toyo Proxes. The Proxes have a straigher, more squared-off sidewall then the stock Potenzas did. I screwed up on the post about the offset. They are actually +42. I've done some hard cornering since I got them on to see if there would be a problem, but nothing so far. It looks like the are about as close as you can get without rubbing. Now if I dropped it an inch and a half or so, I'm not sure. Putting tires on that have angled sidewalls would probably take care of any rubbing that popped up.

One thing that I'm thinking of doing is putting some colored chalk on the inside of all the fender edges and take some hard turns. I'll be able to see if it's rubbing and how bad where ever the chalk is rubbed off.

I guess you did not like the stock wheels?
I loved the stock wheels, but a brick on the freeway demolished one of them and it was going to cost more to replace it than to get a whole new set of Enkei's through a friend at the tire shop.

Looks like an MSP stealth bomber. Now you need some dark ass tints and you'll be completley invisible to radar.

so 4 new rims cost less than 1 RH?
Just about. I got those for $475 with tax including mount and balance, and they threw in the "tuner style" lugs. One new Racing Hart was going to be $390 (tax and shipping included) plus installation costs. I'm very happy with these new wheels!

Well, I found some rubbing on the rear tires, but not bad at all. It's very minor. It looks like if I got some tires that pull inwards a little, it would clear. I hope that it doesn't cause any real problems when I get my springs. I'm not driping a lot, I'm going more for performance. I wam thinking 1-1.5" drop with progressive springs. Wish me luck!
