New England Auto Show in Boston

I tried in the RS4 cab, while the shifter was very smooth and precise, the clutch pedal was kinda high too.

However the feel was light and had a linear motion...noticibly lighter than my speed6's clutch, but felt pleasant to shift.
The RS4 was one of the cars which had battery connected, as in I could adjust the seats to my liking and try out the clutch..

Some other cars, the seats was set way back and no batt..hehe..since i'm short i can barely press the clutches all the way in

Of course driving it on the road is a whole different thing..hehe

Or maybe she memorized everything she needed to say?

I was kind of laughing when I saw the price for the Acura TL Type-S.... 40k for it.... Hehe for just about that price you could get the BMW 335xi.

lol, Probably. The TL Type-S is amazing though. My friends mom bought the regular TL with 6-speed manual transmission before the Type-S was announced, and it's really a beautiful car. The engines hold up and rev like no others and the interior is pure luxury while maintaining a sporty look and feel. I would take one over the 335xi any day! :)

i think another favorite was the Audi R8...mmmmm...only complaint is the two tone at the doors. was there a dodge caliber there at all? or was i blind lol?

I didn't see a Cobalt SS either. There was a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 but now w/ the Jeep section.. It was off by itself.

That was by far the best show I have ever experienced and mostly due to the fact my bro and I was able to walk the entire floor with only 25 other people for an hour before the doors opened. It was so strange and quiet that I almost felt like I had to whisper when talking. Sorry guys, no pics from me this time. I really did not feel like lugging my rig around along with all the brochures I picked up. Ya'll can see the pics anyway in the Auto News section.

The venue was indeed a huge step up. Much more space for people and automobiles. In terms of the Mazda area I was a bit disappointed. Kind of hoping to at least see a 40th Anniv. RX-8 or something unique. The GT-R and Audi R8 where indeed big highlights. Oh, and I chatted with a Maserati rep for about 15min before the show. Such sweet rides. He let me check them all out. They were located next to Infiniti so it caught my eye as did the covered Lambos. Oh man I wish a rep was there for those.

How about those Mitsu Eclipse SE models. Damn they have such huge wheel gap! I spoke with a rep about that and he smirked. Got to love that huge wing on the back...haha!

Hahaha yeah I noticed that too.. I actually looked underneath the car to see if they were jacked up or something. Dang you could have taken those things off-roading or even enter them in a rally race.

I liked the G8 they had on display. The styling was nice... I just wish I could have seen a bit more of it.

Just looked through the photos i got....here's the G8

Nice ! you guys literally had the whole place to yourselves..hehe..

Was expecting more from Mazda too. I'm glad I had to chance to sit in the Maserati Gran Turismo, although the note on the steering wheel was abit scary..hehe..said sometihng like do not adjust the seats and do not touch any buttons

Ok.....!!! I want to see more photos. Remember I was not able to go? Was the BMW 135i there and what color was it?

Dude.... I was all about the Dodge Challenger concept.... I LOVE IT! I hope they don't change a single thing on it. I forgot my camera so no pictures from me this time. Sorry......

I didn't see anyone there.... I thought I saw Chuyler but it was someone random dude when I got closer.

btw.... Who owned the red speed 6 that I so conviently parked behind. Hehe.
That was me (stock rims on for the winter) :) Boy was that a brisk walk from that lot. I didn't realize there was other parking close by. The PDF I printed from the website wasn't very informative, it didn't even provide directions to get to the front of the building!

I agree that this was a big step up from the Expo Center. Walking in the front door and looking over the entire show (with the Ferraris in the foreground) was the best part.

Highlights for me:

Scion xB. The new model is bigger and I swear all the space is in the back seat. I have tons of knee room even with the front seat in the rear most position. Its a cute little car and I'd definitely consider it if we were in the market for another wagon/hatch.

VW GTI. Coming in at a similar price point as the MS3 this car impressed me. The shifter was very smooth (as all VWs and Audis are) and the clutch was effortless. I liked the seat height but Amanda did not. If the car were as reliable as a Mazda I'd consider one.

Audi A3. Amanda and I both liked this more than the other cars in the hatch/wagon market but the dash seemed a little busy to me. The S5 was even more busy, too much eye candy on the inside, but the outside is gorgeous. I also sat in the back of the A8L with Amanda. I would never buy that car to drive...only to be driven.

I wish we could have gotten there early. Things were getting busy after lunch time and I hate waiting to look into cars, especially with little kids running around and rude people who think their better than you pushing in front of you while you patiently wait.

Sorry I didn't catch up with anyone. I was trying to scope out people I knew but I must admit my eyes were on the cars most of the time :)

That is actually false. The 08 Cobalt SS is turboed not S/C'ed.

tell me where you can buy this supposed 08 cobalt ss turbo. the 'best' one they have is a sport model with the 2.4 motor in it....n/a.

the g5, like i said is the same as the cobalt, also with the same motor options.
