New Computer!!!!

Keeping in line with the All-In-Wonder line...

This is what I would like to upgrade to:

http://www.bytesector.com/data/bs-article.asp?ID=338 = $600! (eek2)

Better yet, let me dream about this one:

http://www.bytesector.com/data/bs-article.asp?ID=348

I've seen this one for less than $300 I believe.

Then there's this one for under $200!

Then there's the XT version of the 9600 that costs a little more, but has a built-in FM radio tuner too! I wonder if it will play Doom III? If it can, then it is a winner!

I have 30TB of space. beat that.
I'll call B.S. on that - I wanna see a screenshot of the drives mounted - and I want to see a pic of the drives mounted and the PSU configuration that is running it.

I now use a Hauppauge PVR250 card. Having MPEG encoding on the card makes a world of difference. I still look at the AIWx800, but I doubt I'll bother.

Oh, and Windows Media Center still sucks IMHO, but it's getting better with the latest release. Until they have it as open as I would like - I'll stick with BeyondTV.

I keep a 631.1MB Seagate HD on my shelf at work, I've had it for what feels like forever. It was the first computer part I bought with my own money, still has the pricetag on it - $222.97

That was a bargain too. I keep it to remind me that anything is worth what you are willing to pay for it, and that HD prices are still about the same as they ever were - just the capacities keep increasing. Of course if you figure inflation into it - the price of a HD has actually decreased over the years.
