i like CF the best out of all the current available front ends, even though 1.2 DOES have some buggyness to it. 1.3 should be out soon and is a total rewrite with a ton more fixes and features. looking forward to that.

its a front end sofware that organizes all your music, video, and s*** liek GPS. you can make your own skins ro whatever, but i like the default one.

The carputer frontends are customized to work w/ touchscreens and the main features that most owners use, ie. music, GPS, video, wi-fi, etc. The buttons tend to be big so it's easy to use while driving and they have skins for the different car manufacturers to match the rest of the car. There's about 6 different front ends right now that are supported, most are free, 1 or 2 you have to pay for.

I have a USB GPS mouse that perchs on my dash, need to get a bit of Velcro for it so it'll stick better.

Not sure about Dexter, but I have an amp under the passenger seat and listen to music that way.

the stock MSP headunit requires an C1-AUX (or something) adapter from kenwood for aux input

dex, I also had the same idea to mount the cd player where the cig tray is. question though, after removing the tray and does the cd player fit in lengthwise or do you have to trim the sides some more?
