New, but Old

Hi all, I've been kicking around here for a while now, so here is a little tale.

In July the family decided to take a trip to the lovely White Mountains of New Hampster. Since my Jeep was a 1996 with 150+ miles, I thought it might be wise to rent a car, so of course you guess it, Mazda 5 here we come. I went to my local Hertz rental joint, made a reservation. The morning of the trip we drop down to get the rental, we pull in the lot, cool there is a Galaxy Gray Mazda 5 Sport sitting in the lot, SWEET. Of course, once inside my mood changed, the woman that was working there, tells me you can't request a specific car. I inform her that I have done so in the past and the whole reason for renting the car in the first place was to see if we liked it enough to purchase one. So, after a short argument, we get the car, but of course we have to wait for her to vacuum it out, since it was returned and nothing had been done to it. No problem, I'm getting the car that's all I cared about. My wife drives her Jeep home and I pile the 2 kids in and we meet her at home. I drop the 3rd row of seats and start loading it up, you know the usual stuff, DVD player, suitcases and other assorted crap. Load everyone in the car, turn the AC on (It's dead in my Jeep) and we are off. We had the car for a week, we put 1200 miles on it, it was a dream to drive and worked out mint for us. Driving thru the White Mountains, up Rt. 112 (Kancamagus Highway) was totally awesome. Loved the fact, that I filled it when I got it, it was bone dry, and then filled it 2 more times (each time the tank had a 1/4 of a tank left) and it was cheap to fill.

Here is a picture of it:

All in all it was an awesome experience. :)
