i wanted to put HID lights in my ms3 sport but as a cheaper alternative my dealer suggested getting lights from sylvania that burn white or blue.
here is the link to the page:

my dealer said sylvania makes the bulbs they use for the stock vehicles.
does anyone have any suggestions as to which ones would look better? he gave me the voltage and specs but i left the paper with them at my house, but either way they would be the correct fit.

to be honest, i didnt follow the link, b/c im assuming he suggested silverstars or coolblues from sylvania. I had the silverstars in my protege, and they were pretty nice. As for looking like HIDs...probly not, but they were bright and had somewhat of a blue hue to them. HIDs are better, but this is a good stayover until you can afford them, silverstars are $40 whereas HIDs are a couple hundred

if you get HIDs, what do you need to do? i know there are other posts about this but i can't figure out what i would need to get without melting my car iwth too much heat.

HIDs don't produce more heat, they actually use less power than normal halogen bulbs. There is no purpose at all to getting Sylvania Silverstars, they are just normal 3 dollar sylvania bulbs with a blue paint on the glass.

If you actually want more light output but don't have the money for HIDs yet (they are $200 dollars and up), order some Osram Silverstars (not to be confused with the CRAP Sylvania sells with the same name) from http://www.danielsternlighting.com/

Hid

Wait until you have the money saved for the real stuff. I had done many changes to my previous car and never was satisfy until I bought the real stuff. All bulbs sold around are a piece of crap and they dont last long enough, keep the original and save until ready to commit for the real stuff.
Blue lightbulbs does not help you night vision. At All.
