New BOV attachment from JGS

Just found a new product from JGS which attaches to your blow-off valve, but only opens under positive pressure. This means that for those of us running a BOV vented to the atmosphere (VTA), at idle and under light throttle (no boost) the valve remains closed and all the air goes to the engine! This should work even if the BOV valve is open at the time.

Basically, as they mention, there will be a slight rich condition between shifts as air is vented but otherwise, the valve will remain closed. Pretty cool if you don't want to run recirculated, or re-locate the MAF, or go with a dual stage BOV.

Thoughts? It doesn't look especially pimp but for $25 it might be a great solution for those looking for a BOV venting to the atmoshpere!

Isn't what still bad? Venting to the atmosphere? The idea is that this would fix the bad parts about VTA, namely the lost air that the engine thinks is still there during idle/part throttle. The momentary richness between hard shifts is not really something to be concerned about.

Why do you want the stock valve to open under positive pressure? That means you're bleeding off boost...

No, the stock valve stays closed under positive pressure. But once the stock valve opens (when the throttle is closed) then this attachment sees positive pressure, and opens so the air can vent out.

Under light throttle or idle, the stock BOV can also be open, because there is vacuum applied to it from the intake manifold. But in that situation, there is no positive pressure in the cold tube (turbo is not spooled and creating boost) so this attachment is closed, sealing the tube and making sure all of the air that has been metered by the MAF gets into the engine.
