Bought an '05 3s hatch last Thursday, looking forward to having some fun with it. It's a rocketship compared to the 4cylinder Ranger it's taking daily-driver duties over from. Lava Orange- my 2-year-old son LOVES it. "Daddy, ride ORJ CAR!!"
I guess I get to go back to having car payments again, but I'm thinking this will be worth it. For now, it's staying 95% stock. I gotta get some tint on the windows and an adapter so I can use my iPod in it, after that maybe a short shifter. I haven't got comfy enough yet with it to know whether I want to put any suspension goodies on it (maybe a fat rear sway...), and the stock wheels look sharp, so basically after a couple tiny things, I'm all set.
Anyway, saying hi. This is my second Mazda, but my first one that's anywhere close to new. I have an '82 RX7 that I periodically work on, sort of in rolling resto-mod mode at the moment. I think it's for sale, though- this little economy car is WAY nicer, faster, quieter, and more reliable (plus gets 2x the MPG), so it begins to seem a bit silly to work on the old thing.
