New 3 owner as well

Hello all, got a Mazda 3S about three weeks ago now, and just stumbled upon here. It's my first new car, and I fell in love with it the minute I drove it. Hope to find some interesting tips and tricks for this thing from these forums maybe.

Below are some pictures, I have had the windows tinted since these were taken. And I'd really like to get an autobots emblem to replace the mazda one on the hood. Anyone know how challenging this is to do? I've seen a lot of various emblems for sale online, but haven't seriously started looking into it yet due to inexperience.

The autobots emblem, from the cartoon trasnformers, I'm sure many of us watched as children. Something similar to what this guy did to his charger, only not so craptastic:

Preferably, I'd like to pull the existing mazda emblem from the hood and put something like this in it's place:

But, like I said, I am completely inexperienced with any type of car modification, so don't really know how to go about doing this. This weekend I'm probably going to drive down to local auto-parts store to get some source material for my car and what not and probably some other ideas on what to do.

that'd be kind of fun....I'm not sure how well it'd look replacing the mazda emblem though, might not fill out the gap very well. Nice ride, the people here are more than willing to help out, welcome to the forums!

Thanks. I just got home, and threw up the hood to take a hard close look at the emblem. Sadly, I think you're right. Plus the reflective plastic piece that is the emblem, sits in a molded housing that is actually part of grill as far as I can tell (though I saw screws, so it might be a separate piece that screws in). Either way, it will result in a large oval shaped hole that the piece probably won't fill in completely.
