New 09 White Mazda 3 Sedan

Thanks for the compliments!

Can anyone tell me a little about this:

Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) w/ Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist.

The car de-accelerates by itself it seems as i am coming to a stop even without applying my brakes. Just want to know if it is normal. I did test drive it for a little bit but I didn't notice until yesterday.
ABS...is ABS
EBD just distributes the braking pressure evenly to all the wheels so you stop faster.
Brake Assist is the car helping out with your brake pressure, EBD does this too where you press down hella fast and it gets really stiff really fast but if you press down really slow then the pedal keeps going in and in and in until eventually it hits the end.

I noticed that too, it like lowers the RPMs when you put your foot on the brakes, seems completely normal to me.

Found the thread! Muahaha! Hope it's a great car to you! (it can go all Christine on everyone else though lolol)

I have been trying to read up about the brake assist and it always talks about "emergency" situations. Dependent on how hard the brake was originally applied. I am just trying to coast the car after 35 mph or so and it feels like intermediate pumps of the brake are being applied so the car feels "slugish" at low speeds especially when I am driving say like on a 30 mph zone. The car wants to slow down even though I don't want it too. I will read up some more in the manual but I hope it isn't something that is hurting the brakes or performance of the car as of right now. It just sucks because I don't know if it is normal or if there is something going on. And I did test drive it but only for 10 minutes if that because the dealership was closing and I didn't feel it but then again I was paying attention to everything else. I will probably stop by the dealership when I get a chance and talk to the people there and see what they tell me.

Yea, that would not be the EBD/ABS/brake assist working...sounds odd ot me, even my 3 doesn't do that. And my 3 does everything.

I like the listens plate over there.. might have to do it. how much did it cost you for the "part"

His is a CP-E towplate... costs about 80 bucks I think. But you could fab one up yourself for say... 10 bucks if you are at all creativley inclined.

Very clean. Would be nice with a little bit of a drop and some nice suspension mods. Manual or Automatic?
