That's because that's all they make parts for.

Please do not put Neuspeed on your protege. (no)

How about license plate....? :)

The holes don't really bother me. I'd much much much rather have the holes or license plate then some cheese chrome bar though.

Body shop dude. Or leave 'em be.

^Found this a long time ago but decided not to order them casue the paint was severely scratched where the license plate had been from the previous owner. I showed it to Kyle (Mazdaspeed989) and he ordered them for his titanium gray. Perfect match. (thumb)

Downside?

1. Sorta pricy for what you get (two pieces of plastic the size of a quarter).
2. Requires the removal of the front bumper. You need to pop off the threads that are behind the pre-drilled holes becasue they obstruct the plugs from being pushed into the bumper.

I say go for it tho, especially if you've had a license plate in there at one point. If not, I dont think the holes are big enough from the factory to bother with these. As I said before, I'd order them but it wouldnt be worth it having the plugs with a long scratch connecting the two.

Picture of the car during the install...

yeah about that "after" pic (uhm) ...

Edit: Also a "how-to" thread on this topic

I knew of a female who worked at a Honda dealer who had some sort of plug from a Honda. They were much smaller than those and cheap. She used the factory touchup paint to paint them.
