NEPOC Meet / Install Day

Install Day!!

I think the 4th would be great no holidays and we could meet early before noon at least. I have a few things to install. My cat back exhaust and my injen CAI hopefully. Does anyone have this INjen CAI installed who uses their car for everyday driving? Is it going to be a problem in this New England weather, like rain, snow etc... just need some advice!! I also need my rims on and my fog light bulbs replaced with my Xenon ones and I have no clue how to do it!! Well I dont have tools but if we need beer and some food I am willing to help out! Hopefully the weather will be good.

damn mark, you're really moddin up :)

cant wait to see it

I would go body color on the engine cover and maybe even do all the red stuff body color too to match....

keep it nice and clean

As for my dynamat, I am probably gonna do it somewhere around here so that I can leave the car all torn apart in a garage for a couple days while I work on it. Theres nothing I hate more then having to rush through a project and having it come out less than perfect....

I still dont think we have found a decent place in central MA or anything to have this so it looks like cowtown it is :)

Ha ha. Like I said you guys are more than welcome up here. If some of you want to come up on the 3rd I have no prob with that either. People can sleep there and work the next day or work all night long while I sleep whatever. :) Like I said, plenty of room and the rents are out of town so we'll have the whole place. Plenty of room to get everyone's car inside too if it has to be left apart. I DO live on a dirt road but I deal with it so there is no reason you guys can't. Let me know it's totally up to you guys if you want to make the drive.

how big is your garage?!

and is your driveway paved off a dirt road or is the driveway dirt too?

THere is a 2 bay under the house that can fit four cars.
The detatched garage is a 2 bay and can fit 2 because there are a lot of tools in there and work benches, etc etc.
There is another detached garage that is 40 x 40 and only has a few toys in it. That has an accordian style hangar door on it.

No I've got no pavement here. That is the next project hopefully :D

this sounds like a kick ass day! my only question is id like to paint my calipers BUT!! i thought u have to let them sit for a day before driving...and i see a few people who also want to do thier calipers...are u guys doing a diff. method? or product that lets u paint then drive or are you just gonna drive after painting them?! cuz i a bit confused???

I don't know. I am sure it all depends on paint and what not. I would like to paint my calipers too though.

Lets Decide~

So can we decide on a place by this monday the latest. I reall y need to know cuase I cant do things last minute. So what colors is everyone painting their calipers? Im not sure what color I should get but maybe after seeing some of your cars I could decide their if someone has extra paint but well see. And can someone answer my question about the Injen CAI?

I think Servoeyes has been running a CAI all winter with no problem. From what I understand the intake sits far enough up and is protected enough to not worry about sucking up water and what not. You should be all set. It is going to be my next mod after I get my exhaust.

My zip is 03216. Check out Mapquest or whatever so you guys can see how far it is.

I have an Injen CAI since the fall and have had no problems. I am planning on pulling off the filter and checking it maybe this weekend just to make sure there is no salt buildup since I have driven my car 30K since July, much of that in the winter months.

i've had the injen cai for two years, run it summer and winter, no probs. just remember to clean the filter more often in the winter and with more dusty conditions and you'll be fine! i clean it every 3 months +-.

Hey Joe...How do you clean your filter? Going to take mine off this weekend and just curious what I should do to it...

go to the local autozone and pick up the box of cleaning and oiling system form K&N. follow the directions ....takes about 1 hour or so start to finish (you have to let the filter dry out completely after you clean it)

Thanks!!

Thanks for all your advice I just order my Injen CAI and magnaflow cat back. I got them both for a great price. Hopefully nothing will go wrong with intake getting wet in this new england weather+ I order the splash guard with it as well and later I will get he bypass valve. Well April 4th sounds good to me and hope to meet everyone!!

*whimpers* CT is soooo far away. just kidding. I drove to rochester new york yesterday and back today, 6 hours each way, no biggie. I drive to NH a lot (to the Bridgewater/Bristol/Plymouth area around Newfound Lake).. ok I checked ur zip code that's not all that far.. probably not much more than 3 hours I'd say. Would I drive all that way just to paint my calipers when I'd have to wait for hours for the paint to sorta dry, and for like a day to be sure it's dry? probably not :( I can't think of anything else, unless I can get a short shifter and bushings in time.

I was thinking we should have a meet sometime before spring hits so that we can get some installs done on our cars. We could get together and put on some mods that are sitting in boxes. I know for one I have the Eibach Sportlines that need to be installed soon and who knows what else. I have plenty of room (40 x 40 garage and a 30 x 30 garage and then some) and i've got plenty of tools and air but everyone would have to be up for the drive. I'm about 40 minutes north of concord, New Hampshire. Let me know what you think. (drinks)

We could probably incorporate some sort of barbeque as well.
I was thinking of something like that but for car audio at my place in Nashua.

that would be great! i'd love to upgrade my 4 door speakers!
