Great day yesterday, colder today and cloudy. Time for some indoor stuff.
looks like snow for New England soon?? Just in time for TGiving??
Made it out kayaking yesterday. Went to work on the rv suspension. It has Hellwig helper springs that according to some posts in the Jayco forum are not tightened enough to provide extra support. They sit on top on the axles as extra leafs. The leaf ends are attached to the main leaf suspension with large square ubolts. You tighten or loosen the ubolts depending on how much extra lift or load capacity you want. There are 4 ubolts, 2 for each side, front and back. The rears were easy to adjust with a 1/2 ratchet drive and a deep socket. The leading edge or front are longer and the deep socket only went so far. The nuts were 22 mm and my largest ratcheting wrench was 21mm. So it was a slow slog, lying on my back and resting my arms. Took a while but finished all 4 in a couple of hours.
Won't be moving the rig for another month so won't know if it will have any impact on the ride but the rear is an inch higher and the rig doesn't sway much in the wind.
