NEMOC Random BS Thread

Good thinking Tony. Remember it's about the people!

That's right!!! I could really care less at this point. She runs good. And someday(if I still have her) She will look the way I want.

But I would rather spend a couple days with good company and have a good time, than worry about tires and be sitting at home doing nothing while I'm off. I'd be bumming around the house that weekend anyways. So TO LIME ROCK I SHALL GO.....IN THE 5!!!!!!!!

Soooo, there's a slight chance I may have the opportunity to do a full interior swap (all door panels and seats) from my grey/black cloth to someone else's red/black leather. Obviously I'd be expecting to have to fork over some extra cash for the cloth-->leather upgrade but I'm not sure how much.

Anyone have any idea what a fair trade would be? The leather is in "near mint" condition. My cloth is in "very good" condition.

It depends on how bad he wants cloth...

ask Marc (Zelse) as he sold his leather for cloth interior and when i helped with the swap both marc and the buyer seemed very happy with the price.

Morning NEPOC friends!! Going to get the grill paint today for my fire bowl. I may have something worked out to take a truck instead of the 5 up to LRP....If this is the case, I may be able to bring my grill from the house. Will have to see how things work out. Friend of mine is leaving his truck at my house for that weekend.

At the dealership for my oil change. I tried to use my $4.95 coupon. Turns out the MS6 oilchange is $49 while other cars are $29. So they subtracted $25 from the price. Good enough for me. They're gonna wash it too, so that's a nice bonus.

Cause it's a b#$%h to change....

Haha really, I'm not sure why... I change my own.

does the ms6 use the same cartridge filter as the regular 6?

I hated that goddamn thing.

Not sure if the 6 has the same damn splash shield as the speed3 but that is basically the only pain I have from the oil change. Takes longer taking that off than it does to change the oil.

I use this to deal with the cartridge filter:

I tried using other filter wrenchs (the band and just pliers type) and I heard of people cracking their cartridge housing so I bought that piece and made it 2000x easier.

so the answer is yes.

I didn't find the splash shield to be too bad. The cartridge filter was just a b****.

The pain with the splash shield is that the bolt clips rust out and because they are the cheap kind with just a nut barely tacked to the clip it breaks off and you have to get your arm around enough to get a wrench on the back to stop the nut from spinning. Either that the bolt just breaks (which is actually easier).

But I just replaced them all with different clips (non-oem) so we will see how they work next time.
